The battle has begun again
The shells are being fired
The machine gun pellets are flying,
Penetrating soldiers,
Stopping their hearts.
We run
But we can't hide
The enemy always finds us, always rips us apart.
We scream for help,
Bellowing a surrender at the top of our lungs.
No one can hear us.
No one can see.
No one can save us,
From the war with ourselves.
